Easy Mutton and Rice ( One Pot Meal )

Ingredients needed to make Easy Mutton and Rice ( One Pot Meal ):

700gm Mutton/Goat, medium size peices

4cup Basmati Rice, washed and soaked in Water for about 30mins

1 Onion, finely chopped

5tbsp Garlic, finely chopped

4-5 Green Chillies, sliced

3-4 Tomato, grated or pureed

1-2tbsp Whole Black Pepper

2tbsp Garam Masala

1tsp Turmeric

Salt

Boiling Water, as needed

1stick Cinnamon

5-6 Cloves

5-6 Cardamom

1 Star Anise

1-2tbsp Ghee, optional

Coriander Leaves, as garnish

 

Easy Mutton and Rice ( One Pot Meal )

Method:

In a Pressure Cooker mix Mutton, Onion, Garlic, Green Chillies, Tomato, Black Pepper, Garam Masala, Turmeric and Salt,

Mix everything well and pour hot Water until all the meat is fully submerged.

Cover the Cooker and cook until you hear 2whistles.

Open the Cooker, only when all the pressure is fully realeased.

Make sure Meat is fully cooked.

Allow Mutton gravy or curry to come rolling boil.

Add Cinnamon, Cloves, Cardamom and Star Anise, if you like add Ghee too.

Carefully add soaked Rice into boiling Mutton gravy, makesure to taste the gravy and if needed add Salt and Garam Masala.

Allow everything to boil together and when Water and Rice comes to same level cover the cooker with the lid and place the weight.

Turn off the flame and allow Rice to cook for about 20-25mins.

After 20mins open the lid and fluff the Rice using a fork.
