Kerala Style Fish Cutlets

Ingredients needed to make Kerala Style Fish Cutlets:

1st Step:

1pound Fish Fillets, use Tilapia or Salmon or Canned Tuna

1/4tsp Turmeric Powder

1tbsp Vinegar

Salt

Water, as needed

Method:

Combine all the ingredients together in a pan and cook until Fish is fully cooked.

Allow it to cool down, then carefully drain all the liquid.

2nd Step:

1 Onion, finely chopped

5tbsp Ginger Garlic, paste or finely minced

4-5 Green Chillies, finely chopped

Curry Leaves

1tsp Chilli Powder

1/4tsp Turmeric

1tbsp Garam Masala

Black Pepper Powder, according to your taste

Salt

Corriander Leaves, as garnish

Oil

Method:

Heat some Oil in a pan and saute Onion, Ginger Garlic, Green Chillies and Curry Leaves.

Saute until Onion turns light golden brown in color.

Add Chilli Powder, Turmeric and Salt.

Saute for few mins or until raw smell os spices are gone.

Carefully add cooked Fish fillets and stir until everything is mashed and shredded.

Fry until all the water inside Fish is dried out and Fish mixture is nicely or lightly toasted.

Sprinkle Garam Masala and Black Pepper Powder.

Taste the mixture and if needed add Pepper and Salt according to your taste.

Sprinkle Coriander leaves and mix everything well.

Allow Fish mixture to cool down.

 

Kerala Style Fish Cutlets

3rd Step:

2 big Potato, cooked and mashed

1cup Bread Crumbs

1 Egg, slightly beaten

Oil, for frying

Method:

Into a big mix bowl combine Fish Masala and cooked Potato.

Mix everything well and make small golf size balls or any shape you like.

Dip each Cutlets in Egg wash and roll in Bread Crumbs.

Deep fry in Oil until each Cutlets are golden brown in color.

Serve Kerala Style Fish Cutlets hot or warm with Ketchup or Salad.
