Ingredients needed to make Crispy Pazham Pori / Banana Fritters / Ethakka Appam:
1cup All Purpose Flour / Maida
1/2cup Rice Flour
2-3tbsp Sugar
Salt
Water
Oil, for frying
Method:
Slice Plantains into thin pieces, keep it aside.
Into a mixing bowl combine Maida, Rice Flour, Sugar and Salt.
Mix everything well and carefully add Water.
Make sure batter is thick and has the consistency of Pancake batter or Dosa batter.
If batter is too thin, then add some Rice flour or Maida to get the perfect consistency.
Taste the batter and if needed add Sugar and Salt according to taste.
Heat Oil in a pan and dip each Plantain pieces in batter and carefully drop into hot Oil and fry until Banana is crispy and golden brown in color.
Serve Crispy Pazham Pori / Banana Fritters / Ethakka Appam hot or warm or room temperature with Tea or Coffee.
