1cup All Purpose Flour / Maida
1/2cup Rice Flour
2-3tbsp Sugar
Salt
Water
Oil, for frying
Directions
- Slice Plantains into thin pieces, keep it aside.
- Into a mixing bowl combine Maida, Rice Flour, Sugar and Salt.
- Mix everything well and carefully add Water.
- Make sure batter is thick and has the consistency of Pancake batter or Dosa batter.
- If batter is too thin, then add some Rice flour or Maida to get the perfect consistency.
- Taste the batter and if needed add Sugar and Salt according to taste.
- Heat Oil in a pan and dip each Plantain pieces in batter and carefully drop into hot Oil and fry until Banana is crispy and golden brown in color.
- Serve Crispy Pazham Pori / Banana Fritters / Ethakka Appam hot or warm or room temperature with Tea or Coffee.
