
Cauliflower Masala / Aloo Gobi

1 medium size Cauliflower head, sliced into medium size peices
1 Onion, finely chopped
5tbsp Ginger Garlic, finely chopped or paste
2-3 Tomato, diced
1 tbsp Chilli Powder
1tsp Turmeric Powder
1tsp Garam Masala
Salt
1-2tbsp Ketchup, optional
1 Russet Potato, cubed ( optional )
Coriander Leaves, as garnish
Directions
- Heat some Oil in a pan and saute Onion, Garlic and Ginger.
- Saute until, Onion turns light golden brown in color.
- Add Chilli Powder and Turmeric.
- Saute for few mins or until raw smell of masala is gone.
- Add Tomato and Salt.
- Mix everything well and allow Tomato to cook down.
- When Tomato is fully cooked and mashed carefully add Cauliflower and Potato.
- Cover the pan with a tight lid and allow vegetables to cook.
- Don’t forget to stir occassionally.
- When vegetables are fully cooked add Ketchup and Garam Masala.
- Mix everything well and when Cauliflower Masala / Aloo Gobi is cooled down a bit add Coriander Leaves.
- Serve Cauliflower Masala / Aloo Gobi with Roti/Chappathi.
