Cauliflower Masala / Aloo Gobi

Ingredients

  • 1 medium size Cauliflower head, sliced into medium size peices

  • 1 Onion, finely chopped

  • 5tbsp Ginger Garlic, finely chopped or paste

  • 2-3 Tomato, diced

  • 1 tbsp Chilli Powder

  • 1tsp Turmeric Powder

  • 1tsp Garam Masala

  • Salt

  • 1-2tbsp Ketchup, optional

  • 1 Russet Potato, cubed ( optional )

  • Coriander Leaves, as garnish

Directions

  • Heat some Oil in a pan and saute Onion, Garlic and Ginger.
  • Saute until, Onion turns light golden brown in color.
  • Add Chilli Powder and Turmeric.
  • Saute for few mins or until raw smell of masala is gone.
  • Add Tomato and Salt.
  • Mix everything well and allow Tomato to cook down.
  • When Tomato is fully cooked and mashed carefully add Cauliflower and Potato.
  • Cover the pan with a tight lid and allow vegetables to cook.
  • Don’t forget to stir occassionally.
  • When vegetables are fully cooked add Ketchup and Garam Masala.
  • Mix everything well and when Cauliflower Masala / Aloo Gobi is cooled down a bit add Coriander Leaves.
  • Serve Cauliflower Masala / Aloo Gobi with Roti/Chappathi.
  • Enjoy !!!!!!!!
