Ingredients

  • 15 Idly, sliced into 4 equal peices

  • 1 Onion, finely chopped

  • 3-4 Green Chillies

  • 3tbsp Ginger Garlic

  • 4 Tomato, diced

  • Curry Leaves

  • 1/4tsp Urad Dal 

  • 3-4 Whole Dried Red Chillies

  • 1tsp Turmeric

  • Salt

  • Coriander Leaves, for garnish

Directions

  • Heat some Oil in a pan and add Mustard Seeds.
  • Allow Mustard Seeds to pop.
  • Add Urad Dal and Dried Red Chillies.
  • When Urad Dal is slightly toasted add Onion, Green Chillies and Curry Leaves.
  • Saute until Onions turns light golden brown in color.
  • Add Ginger Garlic.
  • Saute until raw smell is gone.
  • Add diced Tomatoes, sprinkle some Salt and allow Tomatoes to cook down.
  • Once’s Tomatoes are full cooked and mashed, add Turmeric.
  • Saute for few mins or until raw smell of Turmeric is gone.
  • Carefully add sliced Idly, mix everything well.
  • Let Idly’s cook with Masala for few mins.
  • Sprinkle Coriander Leaves and serve Chilli Idly hot or warm.
