15 Idly, sliced into 4 equal peices
1 Onion, finely chopped
3-4 Green Chillies
3tbsp Ginger Garlic
4 Tomato, diced
Curry Leaves
1/4tsp Urad Dal
3-4 Whole Dried Red Chillies
1tsp Turmeric
Salt
Coriander Leaves, for garnish
Directions
- Heat some Oil in a pan and add Mustard Seeds.
- Allow Mustard Seeds to pop.
- Add Urad Dal and Dried Red Chillies.
- When Urad Dal is slightly toasted add Onion, Green Chillies and Curry Leaves.
- Saute until Onions turns light golden brown in color.
- Add Ginger Garlic.
- Saute until raw smell is gone.
- Add diced Tomatoes, sprinkle some Salt and allow Tomatoes to cook down.
- Once’s Tomatoes are full cooked and mashed, add Turmeric.
- Saute for few mins or until raw smell of Turmeric is gone.
- Carefully add sliced Idly, mix everything well.
- Let Idly’s cook with Masala for few mins.
- Sprinkle Coriander Leaves and serve Chilli Idly hot or warm.
