1 1/2cup Butter ( room temperature )
4 Eggs
1 1/2cup Sugar
1 tbsp Vanilla Essence
1 1/2cup Flour
1/2cup Cocoa Powder
1 pinch Salt
2tsp Baking Powder
1cup Fresh brewed Coffee
- Ingredients : To make the Filling
2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
4tbsp Sugar
- Layering the Black Forest Cake :
Cherries , tinned or fresh
Simple Syrup or Fresh Juice
Chocolate Shavings
Directions
- Sift the Flour , Cocoa , Salt & Baking Powder together .
- In a big bowl beat Butter , Sugar & Eggs , until its creamy .
- Alternatively add Flour & Coffee into the Egg & Butter mixture .
- Pour the batter into a prepared pan & bake in a 350 degree pre-heated Oven for about 30-35 mins or until the Cake is cooked through .
- Allow the Cake to cool down .
- Method to make filling:
- In a big bowl beat the Cream & Sugar until it have soft peaks .
- Layering the Black Forest Cake :
- Using serrated knife cut the Cake into 2 equal rounds .
- Brush some simple syrup or fruit juice on each layer of the Cake .
( Simple Syrup : boil equal parts of Water & Sugar ) - Spread some Whipped Cream & place some Cherries .
- Keep the next layer Cake & brush some Syrup .
- Spread the left over Whipped Cream on top of the Cake & decorate with some shaved Chocolates & Cherries .
Notes
- ( Try to soak the layer with the simple syrup nicely . If You want , use Orange juice or Coffee or even Pineapple juice to soak the Cake . You can use store bought Whipped Cream if You like . )
