Ingredients

  • To Marinate the Beef
  • 1/2kg Beef , cut into big pieces

  • 3-4tbsp Yoghurt

  • 1tbsp Pepper Powder

  • 4-5cloves of Garlic , minced

  • Salt

  • To make Rice
  • 3cup Basmati Rice

  • 6cup Hot Water

  • 1stick Cinnamon

  • 5 Cloves

  • 4 Cardamom

  • Salt

  • Ghee

  • For Garnish
  • 1 Onion , thinly sliced

  • 1/4cup each Cashew & Raisin

  • Ghee

  • To make Beef Curry
  • 2 Onion , chopped

  • 3-4 tbsp Garlic Paste

  • 4-5tbsp Ginger Paste

  • 3 Tomatoes , diced

  • 1tsp Chilli Powder

  • 1/2tsp Turmeric Powder

  • 1tbsp Garam Masala

  • Black Pepper Powder

  • Coriander Leaves , chopped

  • Salt

Directions

  • To Marinate the Beef
  • Mix everything together & marinate the Beef .
  • Keep at least 30min .
  • To make Rice
  • Heat some Ghee in a pan & add the Spices .
  • When it pops add the Rice & fry for few mins .
  • Add Water & Salt .
  • Mix everything well .
  • When water is reduced to the Rice level cover the pan with a tight lid & turn off the Gas .
  • After 20min open the lid & fluff the Rice with a fork .
  • For Garnish
  • Heat some Ghee in a pan & fry the Onion until it turns golden brown in colour .
  • Also fry Cashew & Raisin too .
  • To make Beef Curry
  • Heat some Oil in a pan & saute Onion .
  • Fry until Onion turns light golden brown in colour .
  • Add Ginger , Garlic & Green Chillies .
  • Saute for few mins on a low flame .
  • Add all the Powders / Masals’s .
  • Mix everything together & fry on a low flame for few mins .
  • Add the Tomatoes & mix everything well .
  • Allow Tomatoes to cook down .
  • Add the Marinated Beef .
  • Cover the pan with a lid & cook the Beef , stir occasionally .
  • If needed use Pressure Cooker to cook the Beef .
  • Finish the Beef Curry with some Coriander Leaves .
  • Assembling the Biryani
  • Take a big Pan & brush some Ghee .
  • Put 1 layer of Rice & over that put some Beef Curry .
  • Sprinkle some fried Onion , Cashew & Raisins .
  • Put another layer of Rice & continue the procedure until you finish the Rice & Beef Curry .
  • On top drizzle some Ghee & bake in a 350 degree Pre-heated Oven for about 30 mins .
  • Serve Biryani with some Raita & Pickle .
  • Don’t forget to cover the Pan with a tight lid .
