Ari Unda || Matta Rice Ladoo

Ingerdients needed to make Ari Unda || Matta Rice Ladoo:

2cup Matta Rice

1cup Grated Coconut

Jaggery Syrup ( refer *notes )

Method:

Use a Cast Iron pan and dry roast the Rice.

Roast until Rice is fully toasted or have a nice dark goldn color.

Makesure to use low heat and try to stir occassionally.

Once Rice is fully toasted, allow it to cool down.

Using a blender or mixer, grind roasted Rice into fine powder.

Add grated Coconut, add more if needed, it’s a personal choice.

Mix well.

Carefully pour Jaggery syrup and mix well.

Basically look for a wet crumble texture.

If needed always add more syrup.

Make small or medium size balls and serve with Tea or Coffee.

*Notes:

To make Jaggery Syrup:

Crush some Jaggery into small pieces and add little Water.

Let everything boil well, makesure to stir in between.

Once all the Jaggery is melted, strain the liquid and use.

If there is leftover Syrup, store it in an air tight container and keep it refrigerated.

  2. try adding 1 cup roasted cashew nut powder and 1 teaspoon cardamom powder and a 1/2 teaspoom cummin powder… thanks for the basic recipie….
