2 medium sized fresh Fish, cleaned and sliced into medium size pieces ( refer *notes )
8-10 Shallots ( refer *notes )
4 Green Chillies
2tbsp Ginger, crushed or thinly sliced
Curry Leaves
Coconut Oil
2tbsp Red Chilli Flakes
1tsp Turmeric
Salt
1 1/2cup Water
Directions
- Heat some Coconut Oil in a pan and saute Shallots, Green Chillies, Ginger and Curry Leaves.
- Saute until Shallots turns golden brown in color.
- Add Chilli Flakes and Turmeric.
- Fry until raw smell of masala is gone, take only few mins on a medium flame.
- Carefully pour some Water and add Salt.
- Allow gravy to come rolling boil.
- Arrange Fish pieces and cover pan with a lid and allow Fish to cook.
- Serve Meen Thilapichathu / Kerala Style Easy Fish Curry hot with Rice or Puttu.

Notes
- Fish: To make this particular Fish curry, it’s better to use THE FRESH FISH possible. Coz this particular curry is not meant to keep for a longtime or for 2days, coz we are not using any sort of sour agents like Garcina/Kudampuli to preserve the Fish.
Shallots: In this Fish curry its better to use Shallots, but if you don’t have access to Shallots always use finely chopped Onions.
While making Meen Thilapichathu / Kerala Style Easy Fish Curry you can always add more or less Chilli Flakes according to your taste.
