This is a good recipe . Its a good curry for Rice & also for Roti . Sometimes I used to make this curry with Snake Gourd , Methi Leaves & also with Bottle Gourd . In this recipe you can use any kind of Dal .I usally use Moong Dal or Masoor Dal .
Spinach Curry ( Kerala Style )

4 cup Spinach
1/2 cup Dal
- To Grind :
1/2 cup grated Coconut
3 Green Chilies
2 whole Red Chilies
1/4tsp Cumin Seeds
1tsp Turmeric Powder
- For Garnish:
1tsp Mustard Seeds
6-7 Shallots
Curry Leaves
2 whole Red Chilies
Directions
- Cook Dal by adding some water & Salt .
- Once Dal is cooked add Spinach & cook .
- To Grind :
- Add some water & grind all the ingredients together .
- When Spinach & Dal is cooked , add the grind mixture .
- Mix everything well & turn off the gas .
- For Garnish:
- In a pan heat some oil & splutter Mustard Seeds .
- Add thinly sliced Shallots , Curry Leaves & Red Chilies .
- Fry till Shallots turn golden brown .
- Pour this over the Spinach & Dal curry .
- Mix everything well .
- Serve hot with Rice or Roti .
