I got this recipe from my friend Meera Manoj . She is doing a cooking program in a Malayalam channel called Mazhavil Manorama . All her cooking videos are there in Youtube .
This Pudding looks just like Caramel Custard or Flan , but the ingredients are really different .
Ingredients : To make Rava Pudding
So lets start :
Heat both the ingredients together & cook until it turns brown in color .
Pour the hot Caramel onto the baking dish ,turning the dish to evenly coat the bottom & sides .
Allow it cool down completely .
2 1/2 cup Milk
4tbsp Rava / Semolina
4tbsp finely grated Coconut ( Optional )
1tbsp Vanilla Essence
pinch of Salt
Combine all the ingredients together in a saucepan .
Constantly stir the mixture & bring it to boil .
Once its boiled , allow the mixture to cool down completely .
Beat the Eggs well .
Fold the Egg onto cooled Rava / Semolina mixture .
Pour this mixture into the cooled Baking dish .
Pre-heat the Oven to 350 degree .
Keep the baking dish onto a Roasting pan .
Fill the Roasting pan with boiling water to reach halfway up the sides of the baking dish .
Bake it for about 30-35min or until the Custard is cooked .
Allow the Pudding to cool down & using a knife loosen the edges from the pan .
Invert the Pudding onto a serving plate & Enjoy !!!!!
