Ingredients : ( To make Koonthal Roast – Kerala Style )
1pound Squid , cleaned & sliced
2 Onion , sliced finely
4 cloves of Garlic , chopped
1tsp Ginger , grated
1 Tomato , diced
1tsp Chilli Powder
1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
1tsp Garam Masala
Black Pepper Powder
Heat some Oil in a pan & add Onion & Curry Leaves .
Saute until Onion turns golden brown in color .
Add Ginger & Garlic .
Mix everything well & add Chili , Turmeric , Garam Masala & Pepper Powder .
Fry all the masala’s in a low flame for 2 sec .
Add Tomatoes , mix everything well .
Cook until Tomatoes are mashed .
Add the Squid & Salt , mix everything well .
Cook until Squid is cooked through .
Serve it hot with Rice .
( Make sure You wash Squid nicely cos it contains a lot of sand, which may ruin your whole dish .
After washing try to drain all the liquid out .
While cooking Squid make sure you don’t cook it for too much time , it will make the Squid rubbery . Usually it take less than 10min to cook . )
